RN License Renewal for the State of Georgia

Dear Nursing Colleague- This is to inform you that we have heard from The Georgia Board of Nursing that the CHPN Certification is NOT acceptable for RN License Renewal as evidence of continuing competency. If you are renewing for Jan. 2016, please renew via Continuing Education Credits or Employer Verification. 

Please make your voice heard. Please write a letter to The Georgia Board of Nursing and request that the Certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse be recognized by the State of Georgia as meeting the Continuing Competency Requirement.
