NW GA Chapter Receives $500 Scholarship from HPNF

Posted about 10 years ago by Lola Nation

At the National HPNA Leadership Weekend in Pittsburgh on July 25th, HPNF annourced that our chapter had been awarded a $500 scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to prompt growth in our local chapter. The Board had submitted an application for the purpose of developing and implementing a One Day Conference with CEU's. We propose to bring Deborah Grassman, APRN, who is retired from the VA. Deborah has personally provided care for over 10,000 veterans. She will be presenting on the Needs of Veterans at the End of Life.

For this project to be successful, we will need many volunteers. Volunteers are needed for planning: Location of conference, Food, Registration, manning a HPNA table to promote membership, advertising, printing and many other roles. The first planning meeting will immediately follow our next HPNA meeting on Thursday, August 20th. We are in the process of confirming our speaker and the location on that night. We will send more information shortly.

I hope you share my excitment at this wonderful opportunity to provide CE's and have a nationally recognized speaker reach out to clinicians in our area. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact me at: LNation@floyd.org
