Looking Forward

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer season-planning vacations-activities with family and friends-the daylight of the longer days!

I wanted you to know that your NW GA HPNA Board has been busy planning meetings for you to look forward too! SAVE THE DATE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 20TH will be out next meeting more details to follow. 

The last 2 years of starting this Chapter have passed quickly. With this passage of time brings election for new officers. In January, Tim Adams, RN will fill the position of Presidency. Our bylaws require elections in October for the positions of: Vice President (President Elect) and Secretary/Treasurer. These positions DO NOT require a lot of time, but do require committment. Please consider serving in one of these positions. If you have questions about the job descriptions or wish to let us know of your interest, please contact Lola Nation (LNation@floyd.org). The other position coming available is Program Director. Many thanks to Amanda Broyles for her excellent work the past 2 years. This is a non-elected position- if you like planning programs, please let us know. 

GET READY FOR BIG THINGS IN 2016. The board has been in contact with Deborah Grassman, APRN- she provides day long continuing education programs geared towards the Interdisciplinary Team in dealing with the unique needs of VETERANS at End of Life. We will need lots of volunteers to help us plan and execute this undertaking. Be thinking about your role. 

I will be attending the HPNA Annual Leadership Meeting in Pittsburgh on July 24-25th. I hope to return with ideas to share on how to continue to grow our Chapter.
