We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing outstanding surgical care.

Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse at Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our patients' surgical experience. You will work closely with our surgical team to provide high-quality care, support, and education to patients and their families throughout their surgical journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the surgery center.
  • Administer pre-operative medications and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns during surgery.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures and maintain a sterile field.
  • Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage pain control.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are followed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Current Tennessee RN license.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
