Greater Atlanta Provisional Group of HPNA and North West Georgia Chapter of HPNA in collaboration with Visiting Nurse Health System Education Department are offering a HPNA Clinical Review Course designed by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association!
The course is designed to enhance knowledge of hospice and palliative nursing and is one way to assist in preparing for the national exam to obtain certification as a CHPN (Certified Hospice & Palliative Nurse) or CHPLN (Certified Hospice & Palliative Licensed Nurse). If you are already certified the continuing education units can apply towards your recertification if you are recertifying by continuing education instead of exam.
WHO: The course is designed for RNs and LPNs; other disciplines are welcome to attend.
OBJECTIVES: Increase knowledge and skills in the area of palliative and hospice nursing. Assist participants to prepare to take the CHPN / CHPLN Exam. Get to know your fellow nurses and have fun learning and sharing!
CONTACT HOURS: 12.5 CE credit is available. Attendance at the course in its entirety is required for CE's to be awarded. The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is the provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 7676.

Weekend: April 25th and 26th; 9 am - 4:30 pm
- April 25th Care Goals and Decisions in Palliative Care, Disease Progression.
- April 26th Care at the Time of Dying, Grief and Bereavement, Symptom Management

The two recommended books: Core Curriculum for the Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse, 4th edition; Study Guide for the Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse, 4th edition (If you are an LPN, you would get the corresponding LPN books)
